Fabric Certifications
Documentation can also change material cost.
A recycled-content project, organic textile program, or other traceable material request may require more than a similar-looking fabric.

The best custom plush quote is not automatically the lowest one. The strongest option is the quotation that gives the clearest relationship between product specification, total cost, development work, bulk consistency, lead time, testing responsibility, packaging, payment terms, and delivery exposure. A slightly higher initial price can offer better value when it removes expensive uncertainty later.
Once several quotations have been normalized to the same product specification, the final decision becomes much more meaningful.
At this stage, the first step is to stop looking at unit price in isolation.
A $4.80 offer may be stronger than a $5.20 offer if the technical basis is equal and the lower-cost factory has better efficiency.
But the opposite can also be true.
A $5.20 offer may already include retail packing, one controlled sample revision, better-defined materials, final inspection, and clearer production controls, while the $4.80 price leaves several of those items outside the quotation.
